Personal Google Nest integration for Stream Deck

AG Nest Stream Deck Control is a personal application that integrates Google Nest devices with an Elgato Stream Deck.

The application uses the Google Smart Device Management API to securely communicate with authorized Google Nest devices. It allows Stream Deck controls to display thermostat information and perform actions such as adjusting the temperature and changing thermostat modes.

How It Works

Access to Google Nest devices is provided through Google's OAuth 2.0 authorization process. The application can only access devices that the user explicitly authorizes through their Google account.

The application may access information necessary to provide its functionality, including:

  • Nest device information and status
  • Current thermostat temperature
  • Heating and cooling settings
  • Thermostat operating mode
  • Commands required to control authorized thermostat devices

Google account passwords are never collected or stored by this application.
